Club Rules

Please see the Whakatane Badminton Club rules listed below:

1. Non Marking shoes to be worn at all times
2. Reasonable standard of dress (no long pants dragging on the floor)
3. Good court etiquette at all times  a. Shake hands at the end of a game  b. Introduce yourself if you don’t know others on the court
4. Respect all club members
5. Respect all club equipment  a. Pick up shuttles and don’t drag them along the floor  b. Don’t lean on the net at any time
6. Help set up and put away the club equipment at the start and end of the night
7. Don’t walk on the courts when others are playing
8. Pay the playing fees before commencing play
9. When you have finished playing for the night please turn over your number on  the board before taking the court for the last game that you want to play
10. No cell phones on the court

For juniors Listen, obey and show respect to the adults who have given up their time to help you learn to play, to supervise and to prepare food for you. Playing Badminton is  not your right but a privilege offered to you and without adult help there will be no badminton. Do not walk on a court while others are playing, rather walk around courts, this is  for your own safety.
